Flame retardant
FLAMEX is produced with flame-retardant finish. It can contribute to a successful test result of CFR 1615/16 when used in conjunction with fabrics which have the required flame-retardant property.
Factories should ensure that no additional lubricants are added to the thread during sewing, since this may cause flamability in the final garment and negate the benefit of using FLAMEX.
Factories should ensure that garment constructions are not amended during the production process, since changes in seam construction and stitch type may influence flammability test results.
Please consult Gunzetal Technical Support team for advice on the best seam constructions.
FLAMEX is not a solution for FIRE PROTECTION garments.
